Dot3D the Adobe AIR application features a new implementation; you can drag-and-drop an external image file onto the canvas. Then Dot3D will automatically draw it. Try a small icon (e.g., oldschool NES characters) or favicon, as the canvas only has a 16×16 resolution.

The new feature seems not to work on Windows machines (Mac works well). I am going to fix it.

The problem above has now been fixed. You can use an external image file (JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, and ICO format) to render it!

Dot3D is an Adobe AIR application that lets you view a 16×16 pixel picture in 3D. You can freely draw, rotate the picture on the canvas, and save it to your desktop as an image file in PNG format.
